  1. It was really interesting that half of the piece was performed in a dark environment and the other half of the piece was performed in a light space. (The execution scene honestly made me uncomfortable in light of current events.) The dancers drawing with colored pigments on their feet as they navigated a white paper floor was brilliant. My favorite moments were when the dancers moved as a mob. It was thrilling to watch. I was enthralled when the dancers were dancing alone as well. It was when they were in duets, trios or quartets -- dancing in unison -- that they failed to captivate. Their lines were never quite straight nor were their movements and gestures quite in sync. This may seem a nit-picking comment, but had there been just a bit more precision in those moments, it would have elevated the performance from terrific to sublime. That said, they deserved every one of their enthusiastic curtain calls. This was the last of my Next Wave Festival subscription. It was an exciting season. Kudos BAM for curating such fantastic performances!

  2. It was such an amazing piece the lights and colors were in harmony in such a beautiful way. I felt it was an intense piece though, there were a couple of moments that I felt they were directly related to today's happenings. Like the "shooting" moment, that for me was one of the most straight to your face parts and a couple of more after that where I felt related to the trying to scape cahos and the building a coo on part. The choreography was just terrific and all dancers did a great job. The end was just sublime, a perfect closure.
